Time Flies! Have A Wonderful Labor Day Weekend!

Wow! Where does the time go?
A week from now, I will be at my 1st Art Show; as in my own, personal art show. My Art on display.
...Anxious to say the least ;-)
And keeping true to myself, I have procrastinated on just about everything in regards to my show, and am now scrambling to get everything done in time :-P lol ah well, it is what it is, and I know all will be ok :-)
Once the show is over, I will share more with you.

...what else.
I have now finished my first complete tiling job (3300 sq ft), a tile based board, and at another job a beautiful tile back splash; pretty proud of myself! And it is not just me that is proud, my boss is too, which is extremely bolstering! I am so thankful to have such an empowering person in my life!
But (always a but lol), with the changing seasons (I believe), I am experiencing some blahs, but (do not get me wrong) am still thoroughly enjoying my new career direction, and am still super stoked on life in general! ...I just have a lot on my plate ri…

Delish Twist on "Grilled" Sandwiches! +

O.M.G! So freaking delish!

On a whim I decided to try something different today...
before adding my bread in the pan for grilled cheese, ham, tomato, avocado sandwiches, i heated up some butter and added: minced garlic, (dried) chopped onion, sea salt, and freshly ground pepper. i heated this mixture until the dried onion softened up, and then added the bread.
by the time the sandwich was done one side was encrusted in garlic & onion - freaking NOMMMMMMMMMMMM!!! :-)

if you follow our facebook page you know that i am without my handy dandy sg4 that enabled me to take pics everywhere... my temp phone won't share pics :-( so unfortunately no pictures to show you :-/ but it is what it is, and what it is; DELISH!!! :-)

and here is one more cooking hack:
to make breakfast sandwiches, rather than getting out the frying pan; grease a glass bowl, crack 1 egg into bowl, heat (with a cover) for 45 seconds in the microwave, then flip the egg and heat for 25-35 more seconds. (great for …

the Sam Diet ;-)

(there are past posts about my lifestyle & health choices, but here is more of a "health plan"... a little bit different than previous posts... have had some requests...)
I have been asked numerous times what my lifestyle choices are to be healthy - NOT that I do not make plenty of unhealthy choices! Last two years of my life (living in Breckenridge), are a perfect example of that lol But all in all, healthy happy Sam comes from following the "plan" below. (This has worked for many others as well; maybe it is the right choice for you to, or maybe there are ideas you can incorporate into your routine/reigmen.)
The Sam Diet

Alrighty, Exercise. No matter your weight, health, pain level, everyone should get some amount of physical exercise.
Per the CDC Adults need at least:
2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes) of moderate-intensity aerobic activity (i.e., brisk walking) every week and
muscle-strengthening activities on 2 or more days a week that work all major muscl…

it is what it is... and it sucks! lesson learned, but as usual, i learn an expensive lesson. such is life. time to move on. (trying to accept this, but it is taking a minute to let go of my anger about the situation and towards myself... i will get there.)

as well i guess i was a tad "bipolar" th…
